Sketchabilities #85 Treasure

I was racing the daylight and was trying to finish my page before the sun went down.  I Turned the sketch and created the page using Kaisercrafts These days collection. I used special Roses from Cathio and some WOC blooms. I also made some roses too.  My daughter Jacey's pic matched the paper. I also did some fussy cutting on this page.

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch #4 Future

I have been able to get another Saturday Sketch completed.  I had some Kaisercraft arrive in the mail and had to work with it right away.   At first I thought the sketch was going to be difficult but after cutting the pieces up it  fell back together nicely.   I have been consciously trying to use up some ols stash. On this page I added bottle caps and fuzzy threads, Mini pocket and jeans label and black lace.  This is my Nephew Asher at 3m a pic we took with his first Kastowa(Headdress)

Prima Build a Page February

I was able to work on this page using the Lyric collection.

I started with an white envelope. I crinkled it up and cut images out of the paper for the mat and a journal card that sits in the envelope.  I used molding paste and swiss dots on the paper. I fussy cut the corners of the base paper and slipped the envelope under the corners.  I had a crocheted doily and cut out the centre. I added a variety of Prima blooms and a cricut cut title.  I also used 2 ek Success punches.

Creative Scrappers #249 Love This

I am home sick with a cold and when I can stop coughing, I pull out my scrapbook goodies and play.
I combined my Prima Product Picks and the Creative Scrappers Sketch.  Here is the sketch followed by my page.

I used Divine Collection by Jodie Lee/Prima and variety of Prima Blooms. My daughter Serena and her skating group.

Here is the Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch week 3.  I had afun putting this together. I have run out of blooms used the last ones I had  and made some Roses with Bonjour and secret admirer paper.  These girls are my 2 daughters and my Nieces.

 

 

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch #2 Dance

I  used Secret Admirer collection. Yes because it matched the dress.  I used a mask and mist on base then layered it up. 

I have had the feather awhile and tucked it behind photo.  The key is from Michaels dollar bin. I distressed the outside edge and added some black lace.  I also made some faux stitches. I topped page off with polaroid frame .

Paper Mixing Bowl February Recipe

Here is my page for inspiration.  Sarah provided this Yummy Recipe.  I Love it. Here is my page.  Heading to work but will come back and provide my details.  I hope you get time to join us.

 Ok here are my details.  Started with a cardboard base peeled off paper to reveal the texture.  Had a couple clipboard PP so fussy cut the clip and popped dotted it back on. Used Molding paste and a flourish mask on the corners. I tucked Prima packaging and a File folder mini album with journalling. Special moments from my Wedding. Used a Crate Paper Fourteen collection and cut out centre and added it to clipboard and punched outside and tucked it behind clipboard Tilted. I had a scrap of Houndstooth PP floating around so I tucked that behind File folder. I had a set of Heart doilies and 4 copies of our Photo I layered them. I Had this huge Ribbon Rose. I made some red felt rolled roses and went back and added title and black circles. I had a charm bracelet and an Airplane Charm. Sketchabilities #84 / About a boy

Don't you love snow days.  We were lucky Nemo left a lot of snow but our power stayed on and Saturday was a beautiful day.  Our dog Havoc was not at all impressed the snow was so high you could not see him. Ok enough about the weather. I was able to finish my page today.   Following sketch #84. I used Kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey that was in my Swirlydoos Jan Kit.  I cut up my nephews picture and put it back together overlapping slightly.  I am also using up my stash. The blooms were at the bottom a bin and the letters are 10 yrs old.  Been saving them for this project I guess. I will also be submitting this page to About a boy Challenge. Asher's name is in journal spot.

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch #1 Beauty

I am on a mission to use my scrapbook supplies.  I have that terrible habit of hoarding my favourites. I am trying to use what I have and could really go several years without purchasing another piece of Pattern paper. I could probably go 20 years.  But that would be no fun.  I am however on  a self induced scrappy budget so that I use up some of my supplies.  Here is the Magnolia Grove collection from Kaisercraft.  I love the colours.  I followed the saturday sketch.  I put a waterfall type journal spot and spot for extra pics on the side.  My DD Serena can add moments she remembers with her Best Friend Iastha. 

Pion Design February Challenge

Using From my Heart and For Mother paper collections. I pulled this page together.  Young Love. The photo is of my Mother and Father In Law.  A night on the town.  Classy time period. I love these old photo's.  I added Prima flowers and blooms from my stash. I also added a sweetgrass braid on the doily.

Swirlydoos Ultimate Design Week 4

 I made it to week 4. Lisa V had us working on a Mixed Media Canvas.  She had a terrific tutorial and here is my creation.  I covered canvas with paper doilies.  added a mask and misted a design on it.  At That point I would of started to add my pictures and embellishments. But instead pushed myself a little farther and added another mask and molding paste.  I was so sure I ruined it at this point I put it down. Panicked and started another canvas. Then another. Went back to original and added black acrylic paint to the molding paste and fell in love again.  Decided I was going to finish this canvas. I added picket fence crackle paint to the edge and while it was wet added glitter.  Once I started to add paper I was well on my way.  Used a DA chipboard words painted black and added glitter glue.  ribbons from a recent valentines swap and flowers from my stash and previous swirlydoos kits.  The photo is of Asher at Seaworld.  I am having a ball and enjoying all the projects created.  Its an honor  to still be in the running with these amazing scrappers.
