Blessed

Soon my scrapbook supplies will be put away to get ready for Christmas. So I thought I would join a couple more challenges.  I was a Design Team Member and former Blog Coordinator for Let's Get Sketchy. I love the sketches and so glad I was able to play along. Here is my page

Here is the sketch I was inspired by.

I have made these quilt pattern inspired pages before. This is one of my favorites.  I used a chipboard title I painted off white and the flowers are Handmade by me Chiffon material I made ribbon roses and a circle flower. Sorry I cannot remember the name of it.

I am with my 3 best friends. This was on our way to main in June 2019. I made them stop at the first covered bridge we saw in Vermont. I am truly BLESSED to have these 3 in my life and I am honored to be their friend and we love to stop along the way and do crazy things like this.

Cool Christmas

My treat for this month is trying to participate in as many challenges and scrap or craft every spare moment I can steal. December is a little stressful so I plan on having as much fun as I can.

Here is a sketch from Stick it Down.

Here is my double page layout.

I used the Joyous Winter days Collection from Maja Designs.

Some pictures from Christmas Eve 2005.  Our Tarbell Family Christmas Eve party.  This year we had our Christmas Party and Cookie Candy Exchange on November 30th. Great way to start the Hliday season.

I am using my iphone for pictures and editing before i send to my Messenger. The process is not giving me clear photo's. That is something I will have to work on.

Today has been a very productive day. Well for crafting and scrapbooking anyway.  Looking forward to this week. Hoping to squeeze in some more scrapbooking. I have been in a part time college course and Tuesday is our last day. We will be done until the new year. My evenings will be mine again. I was inspired by Lets get Sketchy Sketch challenge

Thanks for taking a look and I hope to share more of my pages and my memories.

Mixed Media Mayhem

Hi Again.  Thought I would get creative this weekend and worked on some altered objects. I was inspired by the lemon craft  and the Bleeding art Monthly Challenges.

Lemon craft has a mood board and Bleeding art is anything goes as long as its not a scrapbook page.

I decided to do a quick tutorial to show my progress along the way.

I started with an old pair of lace covered boots. The Pink is turning yellow from the glue that was used.

You can see some of the yellowing in the close up.

I gathered a bunch of mold pieces i have in my stash. I use air dry clay because it remains pliable. Some scraps of lace, paper flowers and some bling. I did not decide what colors to use right away. When I say the mood board I went for the purples and added some blue.

While I was gathering supplies I found an old birdhouse I had made. It fit perfect in the boot. I used glue sticks and a hut glue gun to apply all the pieces.

I took a Fabscrap door and some hearts and applied to the boot.

The Prima mold pieces are all around the boot.

I sprayed the boot with Tattered angels Midnight Blue, and Fully Purple.

I took the boot outside to take a picture.

Long time no see. Bling your Bra.

Sorry for being gone so long. What can I say........Life happens.  I have been crafting but the process of taking good pictures and uploading overwhelmed me for awhile. So for my comeback post I have a project inspired  by Breast Cancer awareness.

Bling Your Bra

I started with my own bra found on sale at Walmart $2. Great deal and no guilt when I embellished the heck out of it.  I used lots of paper roses. Websters dusty pink rose ribbon, Christmas Pick feathers, Pink Green Tara Flowers, A upcycled barbie that I painted with gesso and molding paste. I also made the skirt and the boddice with glitter paper and a variety of lace. I used gems and  I beaded the roseish looking flower on her waist.  I printed up the quote from pinterest.

My posts will get longer and more in depth but for today this is all I have. My son was at the Heart institute today and was given a 3 year break before seeing them again. He is 27 years old, but he will always be my baby boy.

I am also going to add this to the Bleeding Art Challenge  Anything goes. This has gesso, molding paste and lots of hotglue. lol

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.
